Kroondomein Het Loo
About 19 kilometers from Buitenplaats Elspeterbosch, near Apeldoorn, lies Kroondomein (Royal Domain) Het Loo: the largest contiguous estate in the Netherlands. This vast area of thousands of hectares of forest, heath, and open landscape is the personal property of the Royal House and is characterized by a rich cultural history and great biodiversity.
The domain is divided into several areas, each with its own character. The Palace Park, the Aardhuis Park, and the park around the hunting lodge Het Oude Loo each offer their own walking paths and special vistas.
